Yeah the dream of vintage auto is usually much nicer than the reality.
I found out the truth of that when I bought a 1959 TR-3A back around 1988.

Triumphs always caught the eye of teenagers back in the 80's when I started driving. They're sleek, sporty, unusual, and were always available cheap as used vehicles. There's a reason for that.
Unless you're familiar with British built vehicle design, nothing you own is going to help you get that car going. Most are positive ground to the frame (American autos are negative battery terminal grounded to the frame). Getting to all the broken bits requires a lift.
