The Sooners are very banged-up on defense.  Several freshmen are starting.  That is somewhat of an explanation for being lined up wrong or not understanding one's responsibilities.

But it's not an explanation for bad tackling.

The bye in 2 weeks will be a good thing.

But, in the meantime, there's Texas Tech.  Not a good team, but a potentially dangerous one.

That fumble handoff thingie near the end was weird. Never seen anything quite like that. The fact that KU was getting pressure behind the LOS was strange as well. 

It’s not unusual for a top team to have such a close call against a terrible opponent. It’s just strange that a team as great as OU would play so badly against a historically bad KU team.
