Undefeated with a win over Bama would get you in the top ten every day.

Sure, but there are plenty of undeserving teams ranked in the top 10 every week, especially in the first half of the season.

I think Texas with a healthy QB#1 wins, instead of loses, two games that had a combined deficit of 4 points.  But that doesn't change the fact that the defense is still very poor, and is downright awful in the second half, while the offensive play-calling also goes super-conservative in the second half and blows leads and endangers the team.

Texas could lose any remaining game on the schedule, due to the above flaws.

That can certainly be your view, but that's the lens through which I'm looking when I speak, which is why I specifically and deliberately used the phrase "top-10 worthy."

Regardless, I'll be surprised, and delighted, if Texas manages to win this game.  Goodness knows we could use some good fortune for a change.

I don't know who is top ten worthy, only who is top ten ranked.  Texas would be as worthy in my view as anyone else in the top ten.  But they aren't there.

Meh.

Texas sucks and kills conferences.  OU stands for truth, justice, and the American Way.

The line is up to 7, based on the belief that Ewers will start and Gabriel won't, I suppose.

It could be close. Seemingly bad matchups in the RRS have been closer than anyone suspected, and even upsets.

Texas could win big. If it's close and low-scoring, OU might pull an upset.

EDIT: I'm 24 hours late on the line. Apparently it went up to 9.5 yesterday and is now back down to 7.5.

This seems fairly common in rivalry matchups, I think I'd take to dog in every one of them.

The biggest upset in the series is OU's OT win in 1996.
After that, the next 8 or 9-biggest upsets are all by Texas.
For the last 10 or so games, OU has typically been the favorite, and typically Texas has outperformed expectations.
It's a streaky series. Only one example of WLWLW (or LWLWL)--2012-2016.

Why doesn't Texas fall into the Gulf of Mexico?

Because Oklahoma sucks.

gotta like Venebles balls, but on the (3rd) 4th down try on the drive, his right guard acts like he's pass blocking on a run play that needs 2 yards

they just don't make O-linemen like they used too
