Met his guitar players at a lake house party at Council Grove last summer.  They are insistent on staying independent--told a story about a Sony Records rep coming to their room after a gig, and he was promptly advised to pound sand.

Heck I like fighting the man as much as the next guy but I'd probably at least hear him out and see what he had to offer.  You'd almost certainly at least get some decent drinks and dinners out of the deal.

Maybe the song was experience, the Devil only goes where he's invited.  Heard that somewhere.  

Been trying to find the open window on my phone, I got Porch Light on it from the upper balcony, wife was tired (or inebriated)  and there were empty chairs in the expensive seated section.  It was cool watching him enjoy the crowd singing his music back at him.

Last year they had a 2 day festival, primarily put on by friends of said youngest daughter's boyfriend.  They own the local microbrew joint there, and move a set of parents clear out of their house for the weekend to let us stay.  The band was at some other friend's of theirs on the small city lake west of town.  

That's got to be hard to follow, sorry.

The town has built an awesome amphitheater.  Last year they lost their butts, since there was a different festival going on at the same time in Manhattan, 30 miles N.  Saw Wyatt Flores 2 years ago, last year had Vincent Mason and Josh Meloy.
