Oh my son is smart, but not partcularly interested in school work.  With two years of grades in the bag already, I don't think Texas OR Texas A&M are going to be attainable.

He's going to make Eagle Scout so perhaps that will help. We'll see.

Send him to us.  The Dept. of Education College Scorecard rates our college of engineering shockingly high, with Mech-E being a particular standout.  

From the few students I've met, I figure we'll take just about anybody.

Heh, we'll see.  I don't think Engineering is in his future, although he does surprisingly well in his math classes, for someone who never bothers to study or do homework.
