My folks did a lot of things. When I was really little my dad was the GM of the famous KOKE FM radio station in Austin, which was notable and won Billboard awards for eschewing the Nashville sound and promoting the Outlaw Country of folks like Willie, Waylon, Kris, David Allan Coe, and a host of others.  My folks bought the BBQ restaurant as a side business but ended up having to run it directly.  We owned it for about ten years and then my mom went to work for the State and my dad started working at an advertising agency, where he was able to use all of his radio business contacts to his advantage.

I'm still recovering.  10 hours of drinking beer, 8 hours in Boone Pickens Saturday.  But this kid is freaking awesome.  His fiddle player is prettier than most, you may notice as well.
