Whilst working my way through these--some previously known, some not--I'm reminded that the screaming guitar solo is one of the things I most sorely missed about what music turned into in the 90's.

So, not exactly hair metal, BUT, what with:

  • me recently mentioning Steve Stevens
  • reminiscing about great guitar solos
  • utee94 recently mentioning Harold Faltermeyer
  • vibing out on the 80's
  • and utee posting that Slaughter video, which I feel like has a 90%+ chance that it was shot in the same place as the following

...I feel like this was inevitable.

I literally know more about them biographically than I know songs by them.

Yeah I miss it too and it's one of the things I'm most vexed about with regard to grunge and how it changed rock music and not for the better IMO.

Yeah that's their biggest one as far as I know.  I'll be honest, I never really got into them.

Here's a couple more "late era" hair metal bands that I think probably would have been a lot bigger if they'd come out 5-10 years earlier.  Like Firehouse and Nelson, they just came out too late, and grunge was already busily murdering glam rock by the time they were coming onto the scene.

Two more ballads, too, just for Fearless!
