well, there have been plenty, too many, yahoos posting on college football message boards over the past 20 years that have tried to use NFL performance to enhance a player's college career.

Well there are certainly a lot of idjits in the world.

But we make the rules here and don't have to put up with that nonsense.

Rule 1:  NFL careers don't have any bearing on college careers whatsoever.  If you think it does, you're wrong.

My wife told me there will be a bunch of new commercials on Sunday. As if I want to watch commercials.

I'll be watching Iron Chef reruns.

SB commercials are like any others during a football game

I like SB commercials.  Sometimes they're clever and funny.  I don't get wrapped up in them though.

The game itself, is the last football I get to watch until September, so I'll take it for what it is.

I'd like for both teams to wear their home unis.

Let's see the QBs untangle Red/Gold vs slightly brighter red/yellow.

if, (big if), the commercials are clever and/or funny, I'll see them for the next 8 weeks.

No need to be astonished during the game.  My priorities are food, drink, and bathroom breaks!

I don't mind the shared national experience. It's one of the few, rare ones we manage to receive anymore.

The SB has never been a real big deal for me unless of course the Cowboys are in it.

As far as Im concerned its just another pro game with a halftime show I hate

The commercials have been going down hill for the last five years or so

Hope this years group is better
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

I doubt I will have access to it, being in Orleans that day.

Huh.  Small irony that.

I watched the... 1994 or 1995 Superbowl I guess... from my hotel bar in Nantes, France.  The hotel staff put together a big superbowl party for it, and since I was the only American, they made me the guest of honor.  Kickoff was around midnight I guess?  Lasted until 4 AM.  I was pretty worthless at work the next day.
