I'm getting particular about how I like my macro swill.

In my chilled Pilsner Glass

16 oz Miller Lite
Lime Juice (1/6 of a lime or 5 dashes of the bottled)
Fill the glass up with Picante Clamato
Dust the top with a generous amount of Tajin

Did it in stainless steel for the first pool weekend.  Fine livin' on my own personal Redneck Riviera.

To each his own!

Before I discovered the Picante Clamato, like 30 years ago, I did the spicy V-8.  But no lime or Tajin, that's that perfect addition.

Tomato beer is big here in the Volga German berg.

Gross.

I've enjoyed Mexican cheladas for decades, that's just lime juice in beer over ice and salted rim.

I've had some concoctions where they tilt the beer bottle upside down in the drink.  Can't say as it's my fave, think it's to worcestery, the ones you pay 10 bucks at the Mexican Restaurant for.

Mixing my own is much better than out the can.

I was in Austin for a concert this weekend. The hotel-row on I35 and Cesar Chavez is hectic and interesting, but the upside was that right out the back door to my hotel was an entrance to a neato Beer-Garden called "Bangers".

You got to pick an outdoor table, scan a code, and order food and one of like 225 beers on tap. I got a burger and a liter of a really tasty porter. There were 3 guys doing a bluegrass thing on stage with an acoustic guitar, mandolin, and upright bass. Really enjoyed it!

Yeah Bangers is a great beer bar and has been a staple on Rainey Street for a a decade and a half now.  Of course when it opened, there were zero high-rise buildings around it.  That whole areas has gone nuts.

I sent a pic of that post to my Austin resident, sounds like a good place to go.

If your offspring ever needs more ideas, I'm happy to share.  Just because I can barely stand going downtown anymore doesn't mean I don't do it fairly often.  I still know some places.

Especially old ones that are probably off the beaten path for the younger set.
