Was it Frisco electronics?  Roger Staubach also did some commercials for them after he retired from football.

Beer commercials are a gold mine of stick-in-your-headedness.

Here's to good friends, tonight is kinda special... let it be Lowenbrau.

And

Weekends, were made, for Michelob...

I know I posted this song before on FB, but it is the BEST commercial of my childhood, hands down.

Ran a lot in the late 90's on the radio.   Everytime it came on, we'd blast it loud and sing along while giggling our gutterbrains off.

Reminds me of a very well done local favorite.

"Why don't you write it down."

I remember Thundercloud had a good one too.  As did ABC Pest Control.

That Gatti's is an Austin classic for sure.   ABC Pest Control, too.

Will never forget this one for Coors Extra Gold, and to this day whenever I'm bagging on some new American macro fake-micro beer, I'll always call it "Extra Gold."

If it's any consulation,I'd rather not be Urban no matter how much coin he brings in.Hope Mike Leach or Matt Campbell are on deck, hell even Tom Herman would do but he's prolly to attached to Live Oak on the 40 Acres

Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet.

They got the first three right at least.

Recently I showed my teenage son a youtube of the "I'd like to teach the world to sing" which later becomes "I'd like to buy the world a coke" ... "it's the real thing" ... he couldn't believe it.  We both howled with laughter.  It's such a late 60s early 70s co-opt of the hippy type songs that were prevalent then, and is really funny now, looking back on it.

Coke is definitely better than Pepsi.

But I rarely drink any kind of soft drink anymore, I reserve those empty calories for beer.
