30-23 in the CCG

Tough game.  A defensive struggle, really.  The two best defenses in the Big 12 slugged it out.

Good game, Bears!  You have had a great year.  Win your bowl game.

For the Sooners, it's the 10th win in 11 CCG appearances.  It's the 5th Big 12 championship in a row and 13th overall in the 24-year history of the conference.

So I’m guessing that since UGa is getting smoked by LSU OU will be in the CFP?  Would love to see them and LSU play in round 1.  Jalen Hurts vs Joe Burrow.

Clemson hasn’t gotten much press this year but they’re in if they win.

It's not happening, but I'd love to see Virginia beat Clemson.  That would present the Committee with a conundrum.

Wait...so if not OU then who are the 4 teams?  LSU, OSU, Clemson, and ???

OU was 5th I believe.  UGa was 4th.

The conundrum I was thinking about would have been whether to keep Clemson in the top 4.

But Clemson is waxing UVA, so it is a moot point.

Congrats to the Sooners.  OU's not going to get any respect from the mediots and committee for playing a full roundrobin and 9 conference games plus CCG, so they'll likely get slotted at #4 which is a tough row to hoe.  I'd like their chances against Clemson but I don't think they'd beat tOSU or LSU.

Anyway, good luck in the CFP.

I will throw in that I think, if OU does play LSU, the Sooners are going to score a lot of points and the game would be a shootout.  And when the score swells, it starts to become an "anything can happen" kind of scenario.

That's about what I've been thinking about a matchup with LSU.  At the very least, LSU is deeper than OU at critical positions, but in a shootout, strange things can happen.

Well looks like it is LSU v OU in the CFP. Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

OSU and Clemson tee it up as well.

Should be good games.

The Sooners' best advantage against LSU is that they're on familiar territory. LSU is basically another Big 12 team style-wise. They play "hit you everywhere at every position every play" offense, and good-enough defense.

The downside is that the Big 12 has previously won, played for, and threatened to win MNC's with that blueprint.

LSU has a very good ground game and for OU to win they will have to stop it

One thing OU has going for it is the Heisman curse

They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.
