the conference Monday afternoon. The Big Ten Conference announced the 2021 Big Ten Gymnast and Freshman of the Year awards, as voted upon by the conference coaches Monday. Michigan's Paul Juda was awarded Gymnast of the Year.

Christopulos is the first Husker to earn the Freshman of the Year award. The Layton, Utah native is ranked first on vault (14.86 avg.) and holds the nation's highest score (14.95) of the year. Christopulos has tallied five event titles this season, four on vault and one on rings (the first rings title for Nebraska since 2018). Christopulos was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week and CGA Rookie of the Week three times each.

I know the bar for the student announcers they use for these BTN+ games it's low. But my God, the two Minnesota announcers, are absolutely brutal.  The one just asked the other if it was a save opportunity, and the other responded he did not know what the requirements were for a save.  Now this was not a weird situation, the pitcher just came on in the top of the 9th with a two-run lead

Shoot by the time their kids are announcing baseball they won't even know saves existed

Lacrosse week 7

Maryland whips Penn St 17-10, while Rutgers edges Ohio St 10-9.

The Wolverines collect their first win vs Johns Hopkins in school history 13-10, shattering their previous school record of one (1) Conference win (Big Ten/ECAC) in a singular season. Maryland becomes their only uncollected Big Ten scalp all time, and that is their opponent next week.

Standings
7-0 Maryland
5-2 Rutgers
3-4 Ohio St
2-5 Penn St, Hopkins and Michigan

Looks like the Terps have clinched at least a "share" of the Big Ten Lacrosse Title, seeing as there are only two games left. Since they handed Rutgers both of their losses, they have definitely clinched the #1 seed already.

Extending that logic, Rutgers has clinched the #2 seed, being two games up on OSU, who they beat twice.

Seeds #3 and #4 are still wide ass open.

???? Really ????

An NFL coach (Rex Ryan?) used the term in order to describe a WR while breaking down film, and I found it funny.

FWIW, OSU can clinch a #3 seed with a win over either Maryland (unlikely) or Penn St (more likely).
