I actually feel bad for Burrow. He played his ass off in the 2nd half to get the Bengals back in that game. Threw the game winning TD to AJ Green with 8 seconds left in the game only to get it negated by penalty. Then the kicker shanks an easy FG to force OT wayyyyy the F to the right.

If that wasn't a "welcome to the Bengals rookie" moment, don't know what is.

I am more nostalgic for this match up than any other in the NFL. There is just something inherently beautiful about these two helmets clashing together. No matter how bad they've both sucked over the last thirty years, it always conjures up childhood memories of Bernie Kosar vs Boomer Esiasan, Eric Metcalf vs Icky Woods... I think I am gonna have to fire up some Tecmo Super Bowl after this.

I was think that Burrow had huge bust potential. It just seemed like a perfect storm. Moving from an offense that was just incredible to a top to bottom bad organization w/ a coach fresh out of high school and a terrible OL.

However I've been pretty impressed. sure a lot of it are checkdowns but that's all he has time to do and he's not turning the ball over. You want to sling it downfield w/ a bad OL and an inexperienced QB, you get Sam Darnold.

Who had it worse yesterday?

- Lions Matt Fatricia blowing another lead; 9-24 w/ Lions, another failed Belichick protege

- Jets Adam Gase trounced at home by injury depleted 49ers

- Vikings Kirk Cousins 11-26 113 yds passing 3 Ints 15.9 rating

- Falcons somehow blowing late lead to Cowboys

According to ESPN stats and info teams that had scored at least 39 points and committed no turnovers were 444-0 dating back to 1933 entering yesterday’s games.

After the Falcons-Cowboys game they are 444-1.

the Falcons supposedly had a 99.9% chance of winning w/ a few minutes left. which just proves that winning precentages are bunk. The Falcons never have a 99.9% chance of ever blowing a lead.

I've seen some bad coaches but Patricia and Gase just appear to be in another league.
