Weird to hear Herbie and Fowler calling MNF. Not bad weird, but weird nonetheless.

Herbie is a big Bungles fan, so it will be interesting to see how well he can contain his anti-Squealer bias.

I dunno... A lot of OSU fans consider him an anti homer when calling Buckeye games, so he might just overcorrect :57:

It's amazing how low the MNF bar has been set that two simply competent individuals after the shit show since the end of Michaels-Madden, is enough to make NFL fans lose their mind.  Fowler and Herbie are good, better on Gameday than in the booth IMO, but I don't recall any college football fans raving.

I turned on the game and ten minutes in thought this was probably the best MNF announce crew in a few years

My eldest (just turned 13, now in 7th grade) joined the "Fantasy Football" club at his school. He knows next to nothing about real football--i.e. asked me what a tight end is this weekend--and even less about fantasy football. So it's been hilarious.

He was introduced to the game of fantasy football by losing his first ever matchup by only 1.5 pts.

Welcome to the pain, boy.

Ah, fantasy football. Haven’t played in many years but I remember Sunday evenings being glued to ESPN.com tracking Cardinals blowouts.

this. I'd be all for Herbie and Fowler calling MNF permanently. They were by far better than any of the trash that ESPN has been putting out for MNF for years.

The problem is the prep work necessary.  They didn't call a game this past weekend, so they could do it.  But I don't think you could prep for a (presumably) major Saturday night game, and turn around and do the NFL showcase game 48 hours later.
