Boston fans, who for years have been put on notice for fowl behavior, and who's environment of 'subtle-racism' whether fairly or vengefully was brought up by Kyrie Irving, had every chance in the world to redeem no small measure of goodwill this weekend, instead added to their reputation thanks to one idiot fan lobbing a bottle at Irving.

Turns out this idiot kid attended a $51,000 per year Boston-area prep school. Massachusetts is the most educated state and this is what you get.

I bet his $51,000 education taught him to not generalize an entire state by the act of one person.

Man I tried but the low stakes of each game just kill it for me.
Even the playoffs?

I would bet at this point college football has the highest percentage of games with no stakes of any major sport

Yeah, even the playoffs. I thought I would be more into it, but probably because I haven't paid any attention the whole season, I'm suddenly watching these teams for the first time and don't really know anything about them. And win or lose, they are playing again at least through game 4. I just can't get invested.

I bet you're right on college football. Only your old playoff format can save us.

The pro to the NBA playoffs, is that almost always the better team advances.  If you want your champion to be the best team, the NBA playoffs should be your jam.

The con to that is that usually the early rounds are boring, simply because the better teams are so much better. So even the fun of rooting against the favorites isn't really there, because they so rarely lose.  This is as wide open as I can ever remember. If Memphis wins tonight every series in the West will be 2-2.  But, like you said, I haven't watched a ton during the regular season this year. And because there's so much player movement, it's not even like I really hate the favorites. The jazz are the #1, they've never won anything.  It's hard to hate anything except their fans.  The 7 over the 2?  You are rooting for the most dominant franchise in the sport, led by two of the leagues best players, to defeat a franchise that hasn't won a playoff series in like 15 years.  Luka is fun, And he's playing a big market team. But Dallas has won a championship in recent memory, and the clippers are the jets of the NBA

Agree, the most open playoffs I can remember. This year’s NBA playoffs are weirdly taking after the NFL in that it might come down to who suffers the injury bug the least.

Each team, it seems, is one injury away from tanking their series. Look at how the Clippers are back in control after Doncic goes down. Or how the Suns have the momentum after AD hit the floor. Or had the Suns have/had no chance with no CP3. Or how Utah hasn’t lost since Donovan Mitchell got back on the court. Or how even 8th seed Washington, down 0-3, has a fighting chance with Embiid’s knee acting up.

If you are not enjoying this Nuggets-Blazers game, then you just definitely do not like the NBA.  Which is fine

I am going to try and give the Mavs-Clippers a go, though it is unlikely I can stay up the whole time. I love watching Luka play, and while I can't really root against the Clippers, I thought sending out Doc Rivers for Ty Lue was pretty boneheaded.

Apparently the Mountain Time Zone is the absolute epicenter of professional basketball, as all three teams are in the exclusive Western Conference semifinals.

Dallas and the Clippers play a game 7 on Sunday in order to determine which one of them will be the chum in that particular shark tank.
