We just learned you don't need a QB to beat USC....Badgers had 58 yds passing and won comfortably.
Very accurate.  But the data suggests that they ( USC) will be much better in a home, night game environment.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Yep, B10 fans have that excuse built-in to all the old bowl games in Florida, too.  It's weird that they insisted on locating these games where it wasn't 12 degrees.  Stupid, really.
Preparing them for the League just like the southern teams don't like the others paying their players - weird. Stupid really

Who paid how much and to whom?  When?  Then do the same research for Big Ten teams.

The butthurt is strong with this one.

Cam Newton got 200K. The price would have been higher in an open market. No one can honestly debate that.

No butt hurt, you simply suffer from anal-cerebral inversion. They went down south as the conference games concluded by the end of November they'd break for a week and go back for final exams of fall semester. Then leave for the Holidays. When were  they going to schedule games involving Student-Athletes - unlike today?

Originally bowl committees and host cities paid massive cash guarantees directly to the schools to convince them to make the long trip across the country. The early bowl game system was actually invented as a tourist trap and real estate marketing scheme.

Cities like Pasadena (Rose Bowl), Miami (Orange Bowl), and New Orleans (Sugar Bowl) realized that winter weather was their greatest asset. They used cash to lure Midwestern and East Coast universities down to play a game, knowing that thousands of wealthy fans would buy train tickets, rent hotel rooms, and buy local real estate.

So that's who paid whom and why,how much? - look it up yourself fauntleroy

In a conference with Michigan, Penn State, USC, and Oregon, this is the top 6 teams for the moment....

While Kentucky sits alone atop the SEC.

Madness.

Good times at Arizona's homecoming game Vs Iowa State last night. Our group of six sat in the lower bowl corner cheap seats which mixes the visitor's section with Tucson's working class. It's a section of the stadium that's become more boisterous since alcohol sales were OK'd in the stadium.

In our group, one of us has a daughter who completed her veterinarian school at Iowa State. And another one of us has a daughter-in-law who did undergrad at Iowa State. So based on that we got along with the Iowa State fans seated around us, about half of whom were visiting Arizona for the first time.

Arizona won going away 39-3. Their second play of the game was a 71-yard touchdown pass, and from then on, the crowd got the strange sense of a blowout oncoming. I say strange, because as a fan of what is an average Wildcats football program, the home games I've gone to over the years are either clear-cut losses at the hands of stronger teams or most likely, back-&-forth contests that are stressful to the end. So, it was refreshing to go to a game where I could relax by halftime.

Two former Badger assistants were canned this weekend.

Dave Doeren by NC State (HC since 2013)
Dave Aranda by Baylor (HC since 2020)

I'd take Aranda back on defense, even though Tressel seems to have broken through.
Champaign–Urbana?

That's one.  Thank you.
Are we supposing no Big Ten player was ever paid?
