Well my in-game reactions/focus prevent the outcome from bothering me the rest of the day.  I probably stopped being bothered by outcomes after the game was over in my early 20s.  
As for watching the game, I only get how I am for Florida - I can friviolously enjoy other teams.  For Florida, I'm probably watching with the same attitude as a coach is...I can see the play call and know what should happen vs who screwed up or who made a great play.  I'm a good 3-4 seconds ahead of the announcers on that stuff - friends just know that about me.    
I'm as harsh on the coaches as I am the players.  I'm not overly emotional or yelling, just very focused and a loud clap for a Gators TD, something like that.  

People just cause distractions.

Obviously, my in depth knowledge is lacking, but I'm trying to learn.

I know baseball pretty well in part because I played the game (and still try, but at a "different" level).

Yeah, if you watch baseball where you just "watch the ball" it's going to seem pretty boring and pointless.  It's more fun to play than to watch, but at my age it's not a good sport to play.  My legs just give out no matter how many sprints I do before camp.
