yup, saw it live and said something out loud surrounded by Hawkeyes,  They didn't like it.

the reason it's hard to win on the road

should have been an ejection and a first down

Incidental is one thing that was quite deliberate. Quite frankly more officials need to fired and instant replay be allowed to over rule

intent has nothing to do with the rule or the call

helmet to helmet contact is illegal and by rule should be penalized

But bang-bang can't be avoided and violates the very understanding of the game. One can't very well stop play unscrew their heads then tackle, well Beetlejuice or Linda Blair maybe

we all understand some instances are impossible to avoid, but the rule doesn't care about intent.

It's rough for the defender when he's ejected, but them's the rules

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots' Bill Belichick, the league's longest-tenured head coach, repeated his stance Monday that coaches should be allowed to challenge plays under two minutes.

Belichick did so after being asked about a key play in the Minnesota Vikings' thrilling 33-30 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills, in which Buffalo receiver Gabe Davis' 20-yard catch with 17 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter wasn't reviewed by officials.

wasn't fair, but the Vikes used the karma to their advantage and just won the damn game!

Turns out the announcers were not even on site!! They broadcast the game from a California studio.

Really Fox?
This is the 1930s all over again when Ronald Reagan broadcast Cub games from a studio in Des Moines relying on a wire service, and presumably someone blew into the microphone for crowd effects for WHO Radio in Des Moines.
There are good old days, and bad old days, but in the bad old days radio broadcasters announced games from a remote studio. It was a good way for Reagan to hone and develop his acting skills on the radio for his next two careers. But how do you distinguish a great catch from a routine fly ball when the wire says F7? Maybe it costs $3,000 to send two guys to Iowa on an airliner, pay for their food, their hotel, their alcohol, and another $3,000 to pay a small stipend to them for their time, but it seems like that would be worth it because they see much more than the fans on TV see. Was there the typical "girl reporter" on the field like we have had the past 15-years? I don't recall any on-field interviews of coaches, but was there a sideline reporter?
How did you learn about this remote studio feed? I thought the color commentator was awful, and I don't think I have ever heard him before.
