No running game and a high-priced QB who went 6-16 for 66 yards. That is a trash offense.

The USC game will be interesting. SC seems to struggle with travel to the Midwest, but they are coming off their bye week. The Badgers just did that and looked like ass heading to LA. I think that game will be close. How close is an interesting question.

referees did Wisconsin no favors, but Wisconsin's offense simply wasn't good enough.

Similarly, neither was the 3rd down defense. Which surprised me.

Mike Tressel got caught with his pants down. He should have brought the heat and he didn't. Of course, neither he nor anyone else expected that Cal-Poly bum transfer QB to perform the way he did. 

UCLA might actually be better with him over Nico.

I'm all for sending plays in, and I agree that WI got some bad breaks here, but...

SIX FOR SIXTEEN FOR SIXTY-SIX YARDS.

UCLA: 13 for 20 on 3rd down.

Suck it up, buttercup. The Badgers lost because their quarterback can't make the throws, and their defense couldn't get off the field. This isn't a one-time thing: Wisconsin's offense has been bad for (checks notes) three and half seasons.* I wonder what else has been going on for 3-1/2 seasons?


*Wisconsin's offense sucked in '21 and '22, also. '20, too, but I generally ignore the Covid season.

The offense can't stay on the field. That does not help out any defense.
