This game is going to come down to turnovers.

Looking at their schedule, ND was not in the world-beater category. They were good - not great. The most impressive win was at home against USC. They brought in some really good players, but they also lost some, in the portal and to eligibility.

I'm saying there might be a chance.

A major upset, out of the gate?

I believe face was $150.

They were upwards of $500 at one point, for a decent spot, I've read.

P.S. These games should have been played at the teams' home stadiums. Speaking from experience, both fan bases would have really enjoyed the experiences at Camp Randall and the House that Rockne Built, and the home teams would have enjoyed hosting the visitors. Sigh.

This.

x10.

Amen.

Other superlative expressions of agreement.

I'm still put out about the "home and home" between LSU and Wisconsin 10 years ago.  I wouldn't have been able to go to either at the time, but why the hell would you bring Wisconsin "down to LSU" and play the game in a different state and deprive the traveling Badger fanbase the chance to experience a night game in Tiger Stadium?  Why would you bring LSU "up to Wisconsin (the school)" and deprive the traveling Tiger fanbase the chance to experience a game in Madison?  Iconic venues, both of them, and instead they opted for the sterility of the Texans and the Packers stadiums.  Gross.

This was just more of the same.  Lambeau is a great place, I'm sure.......to watch an NFL game.  It's not Madison.

It was technically an ND home game. Wisconsin's "home" game in the series was at Soldier Field.

I noticed Notre Dame was the home team.  It was weird.  Didn't recall the previous meeting at Soldier Field.  That's similarly dumb.

With expanded conference schedules, teams are going to start avoiding marquee OOC matchups in the season, meaning they'll only meet in the playoffs.  Meaning they won't play in each other's stadiums, mostly neutral sites.

Sigh.

WTF...

“The season really begins now,” Fickell told reporters. “That doesn’t mean we weren’t riding on this game. It doesn’t mean we weren’t prepared for this game, the whole fall camp wasn’t about this game, but the season begins for us when we get punched in the face. Now, we get to really find out who we are and what we’re about…

“Now we get to find out who we really are. There’s nothing like adversity. There’s nothing like getting punched in the face, and there’s nothing like seeing your brothers and seeing how they respond…We’re going to find out a hell of a lot about ourselves really quickly here.”

It was much better when along with MSU,Iowa even PSU competed on a regular basis. The new arrangements aren't making the sport more enjoyable
