Griese and McShay are ignoring/not noticing a small wiggle upon contact with the ground.

I’m a West Virginia fan.  It’s like being an Iowa fan with mountains.
Ha ha, we're discussing the last time Iowa got the TD in this situation, and we came up with 2005 Cap One bowl.

I don’t think there was enough to overturn that.

... but I have no idea how the refs saw that on a low resolution 4-inch screen.

Well, at least we're not Florida State.

So, GoIowaAwesome ran an article this week that the last time Iowa won a game with national aspirations on the line was 1985. The trend continues.

How is that defined? Could one argue that each of the 12 regular season wins in 2015 overturn that idea?

You're not wrong. I think Iowa vs UW 2015 qualifies, but going off memory, it might have been too early in the year to realize the implications (sunny rederence). The point of the article was, when it's on the line and the team knows it going I to the game, Iowa almost always wets the bed.

Every game has national implications until you've dropped a game or two.

Nice of the backups to allow 21 points and a ton of yards to finish the game for Maryland.

Next year looks rough.

I can’t help but think Stanley’ thumb injury made a big difference.  But yes, they still have to feel they let one get away from that one play.
I still feel they are one of the best teams in the big, and I always enjoy watching them for some reason.
