I'm not comparing them to past history or some hypothetical idea of what "good" is, especially not this year.  I'm just comparing them across the college football landscape, to the other teams that are playing football right now.

I think overall this is sort of a "down year" in college football, which is to be expected given all of the external factors.  But in this "down year" I don't see 10-14 teams that are better than the ags so far this season.  I might not even see 5 teams that are better.

As always, it's easy to say so-and-so doesn't look like a Top 10 team-- until you try to rank the teams that are better, and then you have to judge THOSE teams for all their flaws and warts, as well.
That's true, and I'm certianly not arguing there are 10 teams that have done more than them, just that they don't seem to be playing to the level of a team that usually gets to where they've gotten.

But, they have a back stretch where they can certainly play to that level by kicking the hell out of everyone.

They have Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU, and Auburn remaining on the schedule.  That's not a murderer's row by any means, but if they're truly at their historical mean, then they'll drop at least one of those.  But I'm not seeing it.

This is the first time ever that OSU, Indiana and Northwestern have simultaneously began league play 3-0.

I don't know if they'll drop one, but if one of the first two is close and LSU is really close, that's not a good showing.

So does it look like Wisconsin can play this coming weekend?

The IU game was what it was, but could this be a case of OSU beating them twice?
I was wondering earlier, did PSU let tOSU beat them three times?

Indiana delivered the body blows, OSU dealt the mortal wounds, and Maryland was the buzzard picking at their carcass.

Cincy and BYU are both better than aTm.
So this is a schedule Cincinnati would run through, undefeated then?
Vanderbilt
@Alabama
Florida
@Miss St
Arkansas
@South Carolina
Tennessee
Ole Miss
LSU
@Auburn

... A&M is both not undefeated and has not played four of those games.

They’re a top-15 level team, but playing a bit above their record
