He was an amazing talent.  If only he'd have played something different.

Wasted on bubble gum, teenaged boy mentality, dung.  A shame.

FTR ....  Van Hagar > Van Halen  (IMO)
That started with 1984. Jump and all that.

Naw bro, we can jam "Hot for Teacher" till your heart's content.

Or until you hit puberty.

Whichever comes first.

The rhythm line for Hot For Teacher is one of the greatest in all of Rock and Roll.

Right up there with Limp Bizkit.

Seems like it was just yesterday that I was in Jacksonville watching a rising IU program play Tennessee in the Gator Bowl. Hopefully I get to see two wins this year.

Y'all should have one that day.  We didn't deserve it.

Depends on the alcohol intake.

On a serious not....I really have left almost all rock/classic rock in the rear view mirror.  Because I am just so burned out on it.  R&R ceases to exist in the last 20 years, so I've only had the old stuff to fall back on, and as a result played it out.  I have a sour taste anymore, tbh.

Zep -- automatic channel swap, Beatles -- automatic channel swap, Stones -- automatic channel swap, Van Halen -- automatic channel swap, Floyd  -- automatic channel swap.  You get the drift.

Well now my response doesn't make any sense. :)

And I really do get your point.

Since I've continued to listen to new music over the past couple of decades, I suppose I haven't burned out on the old stuff to the extent that you have.  My kids listen to a lot of the newer stuff and I like to keep in touch with them so I listen to it too, and it's not all bad, some of it is actually really good.

And I'll also say that watching and hearing my kids rediscover much of the same music I grew up loving, has helped keep it new and fresh for me.  My 15yo daughter absolutely loves 80s rock.  And she puts together the  best playlists.  She's in charge of all of our party playlists, roadtrip playlists, etc.  She's great at it.

As have I. Mostly a lot of Alternative. My go-to on XM is Alt Nation.

So here's my unpopular alt-rock opinion.

Twenty One Pilots sucks.

The old R&R is the new country western

some things dont change they just come back repackaged
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.
