Glad we beat Miami before everyone figured out they suck.

Down 27-14 at home to Virginia.  Not sure Manny Diaz survives this year

the Canes suck, but they continue to yuck it up on the sideline

I enjoy the suck, not the yuck

One of the College Football pods (forget which one) discussed how sad it was that college football just punted Thursday nights to the NFL.  Glad to see a decent game.  This is Thursday night football.  It should always be a decent (but not great) ACC or Big East game, between two lowering Top 25 teams, or an NC contender going on the road against a 7-5 type team.

They asked people to respond with their best Thursday night college football memories, and it was a trip.

I still think it should just be WVU at Virginia Tech every Thursday night.  Maybe mix a Pitt at VT game in there.

Yeah, I get it that the NFL is always going to outdraw CFB.  But I'll watch almost any college football game over an NFL game on a Thursday night.

That was a crazy INT-turned-TD reception.

And, I'm always happy to watch Miami lose.

I haven't flipped over to the NFL game yet, and this game isn't that good

The first half of UVA-Miami was PAINFUL to sit through, especially on the Miami side of the ball, where 4-star talents go to die. Watching Miami squander its wealth of talent with such a lifeless offense is like finding out Golden Corral tosses away 60% of their buffet food.

I mean how many times (?) is ESPN going to tease the audience with clips of Miami's glory years before cutting back to live play, which for the most part is Miami's simplistic offense getting stuffed again. What a waste. Even the color analyst was losing patience with Miami going for 4th & shorts out of the shotgun.

Miami hasn't won a conference titles since 2003, is 3-11 in bowl games and have only managed a single 10 win season since 2003. Outside of their 10-0 start and division title in 2017, the Hurricanes have been furiously irrelevant since much of their roster was born.

And their kicker is actually good. I know King was out, but they should still have enough talent to beat Virginia at home.

The style was awesome, when there was also substance. But it is all style and no substance now, and it's just sad

Thought that was a pun directed at Coral Gables where The U is located

Some big games tomorrow of course, it strikes me as a bit unusual to have so many top ten (12 technically) pairings in an early weekend.

I think UGA wins a tough one with Arky, take the 18 points.

I think Bama brings Ole miss back to reality.

ND-Cincy, I suspect ND finds another way to pull one out.

baylor @ OkSU - no idea, both ranked.

UM @ Wisky - I'm not sold on UM yet, but would be if they win this, I don't expect it.  Wisky close low scoring, 19-13.

Actually, the all-time Thursday nighter for CFB as a three week run in the early 2000s where there were top-10 Big East matchups between Rutgers, South Florida, and maybe West Virginia on 3 consecutive Thursday nights. Maybe 2006?
