Right.
No one should be in dire straights in Game 3.

my reason for saying it's a must win is that it's the only game they have an actual legitimate shot to stay competitive with or even outright win vs one of the big dogs on their schedule. Tennessee is just not that good and Milton kinda sucks at the whole QB thing.

UGA, LSU, and Florida State are going to destroy Florida. It will not be pretty. Two of those teams are excellent and one is pretty good. Florida has no shot in any of them. And no one in Gainesville cares what they do vs Kentucky, Missouri, or Vanderbilt- unless they lose some of those games- well then they'll care, obviously.

I don't think Napier gets fired at the end of the season if they start looking more competitive and disciplined even of they finish 6-7, or even 5-7.  If they turn into a real mess from here, then juries out.  You can spot a "real mess" usually by what players say, how they react to situations in a game, whether they appear to be trying hard, etc.

I'd be hoping for more effort, intensity, discipline, over wins and losses, personally.

which is why I think this game vs Tennessee is so important for their season, that program and especially Napier. It's at home in the swamp at night vs an SEC east rival- that atmosphere should be rocking and those players should be amped up for the game.

if they aren't competitive and get blown out- that thing is going to crash and burn and they'll be lucky to go 5-7. this is by far the most winnable "big game" on that schedule. Tennessee is not that good and Joe Milton is awful at the whole QB thing. Florida can pull off the upset and it's a "huge win" and momentum builder just like Texas beating a mid-ass Bama team was a "huge win"- when in reality that Bama team just isn't that good- just like this Tennessee team isn't that good.

Waking up in Austin a few hours ago. Went on a jog with a buddy downtown. Now planning on how we'll fill in the mid-day. Probably 6th Street to catch a few of the afternoon games.

Big event today is going to the Longhorns game tonight Vs Wyoming. Picked this game to time it with going to Austin's MLS game tomorrow Vs the Portland Timbers.

Big deal for me to get to a Texas Home game. Seen the Longhorns play before in person but those were both neutral siters. Got lucky in buying tickets right before Texas beat Bama last weekend. Prices went up and now the game is an expected sellout. Wyoming has brought their own noticeable crowd as well. Saw them out last night and they were all very nice.

Us later tonight at the Longhorns game:

it's was only one offensive drive for Illinois but Penn State still looked kinda weak up front on defense vs the run. they looked weak vs WVU as well in that department. Illinois was running it right down their throats when they went straight at them up the middle. penn state looks like a defense built to rush the passer- front 7 looks small but fast- they got heat on Illinois every time they dropped back to pass.

Illinois defense came to play. Offense have turned the ball over twice, but only down 6-0.

Let's bookmark this.

It's possible or likely these teams would destroy Florida TODAY.  But they don't play them today.
Things change.
Teams improve, teams worsen.

LSU didn't destroy us last year.  FSU didn't, either, even though it was coming off a loss to Vandy.
Teams don't care if they destroy you, just that they win.

Boy, there sure are some severe comments being made on this board in mid-September.  Weird.

Why are BC and FSU wearing the wrong uniforms today?
