Lots o' byes this week, but there is still some good stuff. Even some Thursday night action.
Thursday, 8 pm
West Virginia at Baylor, ESPN: Baylor is undefeated and can actually make the CFP. West Virginia isn't good, but Baylor isn't necessarily good enough to call any game a gimme. So Thursday night drama is possible.
Georgia Southern at Appy State, ESPNU: Appy is still undefeated and is in the mix for that New Years 6 spot. Georgia Southern nearly beat Minnesota.
Saturday, noon
Michigan at Maryland, ABC: Michigan suddenly looks like a quality team. Maryland, not so much.
Nebraska at Purdue, FOX: Purdue is unlikely to make a bowl this year. Nebraska is 4-4 and has this game, Wiscy,@Maryland, and Iowa. They need two wins and it doesn't take a brain science degree to say this is one they should get.
3:30
Rutgers at Illinois, BTN: The game of the day, except Illinois apparently lost the memo that they are supposed to be a dumpster fire. Rutgers looking for a two game win streak. Illinois needs two more wins and has this game, @MSU, @ Iowa, and Northwestern. It's...likely?
Georgia at Florida, CBS: The alternate game for the leader of the SEC and pretty much killing the playoff chances of the loser.
Kansas State at Kansas, FS1: The hat rides again.
4 pm
Wofford at Clemson, ACCN: Clemson taking on a bigger challenge than their typical ACC fare.
Utah at Washington, FOX: Utah is a Pac 12 leader and a dark horse playoff contender. But Washington ain't bad and they are at home.
7:30
SMU at Memphis, ABC: Seriously, ABC. This AAC West showdown is really the top game of the week.
Oregon at USC, FOX: Oregon is also in the mix for the playoffs, and has a pretty good hold on the Pac North. But USC tied for the top of the South and wants to hold serve.
