Michigan D just flat out looks good. They look better than last year. Deeper, more disciplined, more aware. Makes sense I think, this is year 2 of the system. New DC in Minter but it’s the exact same system MacDonald installed last year. Junior Colton looks like a freaking stud- by far best LB since Bush. DJ Turner is really good. And the DL looks deep. Anoma had a sack his first series in the 1st QTR. McGregor has flashed in his snaps. Mazi Smith and Kris Jenkins both look like absolute animals inside.
They did “look “ good.  Just being honest- CSU looked horrible.  59 new players, QB who had never started a game - they had no idea what they were doing.

Not to say the defense isn’t good- just hard to say.

The good news for you- you can brag about them for a while.  UM is playing the next two teams listed on “ the worst 15 list”, although the cant be any worse than CSU.

if it’s true what you said- that their first real test is Iowa- a team that put up two FGs today on S. Dakota State- then we should easily expect UM to be the # 1 defense in CFB after that.

At least statistically
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

1st games dont indicate how good or bad either team is just if your team is better then the team they played

you wont know if a team is good until another 2 or 3 games

A healthy attitude to have when your team opens with Bama, lol.

It can be less "good" and more ball-hawking.....same end result.  Holding Oregon to 3 pts in a half is meeting all of your pre-game goals, believe me.
