Fun 17-14 game getting further into the 4th quarter.

Anyone notice Iowa State get charge with a TO under a brand new rule stipulating that if a defensive player goes down with an injury after the ball is spotted for the next down, then the defense is charged with a time out?

A welcome rule making it more difficult to fake injuries.

That feels like a good compromise.

I've always been on board with some sort of medium.  Running to the line and standing there for 30 seconds while you get the playcall just to prevent subs has been horrible for the sport.  I would say once the center is over the ball, the play clock drops to 10.  But if the center isn't over the ball, the defense can substitute.  You want to go fast?  Let's go fast.  You want to hurry up and wait?  Go F yourself

hah, you say that now
probably said the same thing last season while Michigan was beating Ohio St.
UM and OSU have starz. ISU & KSU do not.

A lack of starz might be fine in one game to get an upset. Not three (or 4) consecutive CFP games.

Outside of CFB, do you prefer Ames Iowa or Manhattan Kansas?
tough call, I've had some great times in both cities
Ames is closer and I go there much more often

coin toss - depends on what's on tap

I would possibly retire to Manhattan, not in Ames.

Is it?

IMHO this game may be important as to which B12 team will be the conference's representative to be a sacrificial lamb in the CFP. But neither of these teams is going to win the NC.
Fair point but this game is reasonably likely to determine who goes to the B12CG so it matters for CFP entrance.

I thought it was established that Kansas is the hottest/coldest state in the US?

I didn't know UNLV was playing week 0, it would have been a cheap way to check out the new Raiders stadium.
