Thank you both. When they mentioned his name I thought I remembered him throwing for about a gazillion yards for the Rainbow Warriors.

Not sure why Barry put them on the Wisconsin schedule a few times, but I enjoyed one of the trips.
Despite the official bias, they are a good team to schedule financially because the road game at Hawaii doesn't count against your 12 so you get an extra.

Since Ohio State famously travels REALLY well, I'd ask them for a 3:2 if I were tOSU's AD. I'd schedule all games for Thursday of week 0 with the five games over seven years:

I think that was during the brief time they were just the Warriors, and their colors were dark green and darker green, and they played like every Friday night

MSU did a H-H back when they were good, and MSU had JLS.  MSU destroyed them at home, and lost like 49-42 on the island, and got called for like 250 yards of penalties

EDIT: Looked it up.  MSU played there in 2004, and put up over 600 yards of offense, including over 400 in the first half, but lost 41-38, but had two 75+ TDs called back for penalties.  I remember the kick return TD that would have given MSU a 45-41 lead, the announcers couldn't even find a block, let alone the phantom block in the back.  A much worse MSU team beat them 42-13 in the 2005 season opener.  I actually met gatorama at that game

Loved watching end of Hawaii game yesterday.  It was all I could, but those late games where you see all that sun is always nice.
