Yep. Both on this side and the other side.

Not to mention driving Alligator Alley sucks.

Well they won't be doing any polar plunges in AA - I'm guessing

When it was first built, people died if they crashed.

It was a narrow two lane road with no shoulders. Canals were formed on each side, from excavation work to elevate the road.

Death trap.

Much better now.

Did you take 75 to get home? From Naples to Fort Myers can be rough.

Nah, I took Allegiant out of FLL.  FLL is tiny, way overcrowded, and not well run ... a terrible airport.

And whomever said Allegiant is pretty good.....lied.  It was direct from Memphis, and fairly cheap --- and that's where the good parts stop.

(I'll do it again for those reasons, however.)

I find driving over Lake Pontchartrain unnerving.  You look out of your window, and nothing you see makes you think that a car should be out there.

There's another bridge over the Atchafalaya Basin I call the Forever Bridge.  When you think you're about done with it, nope, it just keeps going.

I'd hate to wreck on either of those stretches, and fortunately, I've never seen it.

The Atchafalaya basin is very wide, because the Mississippi River is supposed to be in it.

Grrr...
