Doesn't matter to me if protesters are university students or not.

Now, if they're paid agitators, that's different
To me, it does sort of matter whether they're university students. They're protesting at a university, and in many cases, asking for concessions/actions from the university to cease doing business / having relationships with certain organizations/etc seen as supporting the Israeli actions. As students, they have a right IMHO to express their displeasure against their future alma mater when they think it's doing wrong.

It's like if you were a Congressman and I bussed in a bunch of voters from other districts to protest some vote you were planning to make. If you simply counted numbers, you might think that a bunch of your constituents were against your vote. But if 50% of those protesters were from a state or two away, you might misread your own constituents' opinion on the matter.

Now, I'm not saying it should be illegal for non-students to protest a university or for non-constituents to protest a Congressman, but I think knowledge that it's occurring waters down the impact of the protest in a very significant way.

a private university is a different situation

a state university is on government property so it's like protesting at the state capitol

any university, ........... if my friends, family, parents, students from the college across town or some nearby high school students want to support me or my views.  I don't see a problem.

Even if they inflate the numbers.......... that's for the university to sort out.

Well sure.  And reporting on how many protestors have zero affiliation with the university, is how the university sorts it out.  I'm really not sure what your point is.

Nobody's saying it's illegal, or that it should be illegal.

Just saying there's a difference between reporting "300 students protested pro-Palestine today on campus" and reporting "300 people, only 95 of which were students, protested pro-Palestine today on campus."

my point was only that I don't care too much a tall

reporters are notoriously lazy and other times misrepresent numbers

god bless em if they're doing their jobs properly

in this case I don't care much and won't bother to check up on them

more politicians should have some jail time

imo
Skip that process and hand them over to Judge Isaac Parker's posse
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.
