Yup, we did those, too.  Mostly Banquet and Swanson, I don't know those other brands.

The Salisbury steak with the chocolate cake/brownie in the top middle was my favorite.

I ate a fair number in grad school for a while, they got old, even for me.  I learned I could grill chicken/burgers pretty easily and it was tasty stuff.  I had a little Hibachi grill in the apartment, I'm half surprised it was never stolen.

Heat up some frozen peas and make boil some taters and it was good.  I did not have a microwave.

Girls were impressed that I could and would cook, I'd invite them over for, um, dinner.  I also had a piano that I could play reasonably well at the time.  Chicks dig the long ball.

This was mostly our thing. My Dad worked nights. Ma managed 3 kids.
Back before microwaves became common I remember eating a lot of those as a kid.

you guys lived well

we might get one of those 99 cent frozen pizzas once in a while

Mom would cook extra and we could warm up leftovers

TV dinners cost too much

I did like the song by ZZTop
"Courage; Generosity; Fairness; Honor; In these are the true awards of manly sport."
