I ran out of sympathy for the Palestinians decades ago.  It was already gone when I saw them dancing in the streets after 9/11.  The various Palestinian terror organizations, PLO, Hamas, and others stated purpose has been to destroy Israel and kill the Jews within.  No peace is possible with such an organization or population.  The Palestinians brought this upon themselves.  Israel needs to completely destroy Hamas and re-occupy Gaza. After that they need to deal with Hezbollah in Lebanon.  Maybe they can try peace again a couple decades after the Iranian support dries up.

LINCOLN – Jackson Brockett wasn’t ready to talk. Not right away.

The clouds were spitting rain and his glove smelled like grape Gatorade, but it all mattered little to the Nebraska left-hander who just pitched the game of his life – and turned in perhaps the individual mound surprise of the college baseball season.

Only a few weeks ago the junior had to process not making the travel roster for a series for the first time in his college career. He was junking his slider and looking for command of his curveball. He took the ball Wednesday out of team necessity as much as anything, with NU in the midst of playing eight games in 10 days.

Brockett was supposed to be an opener of sorts. Instead he made some of the unlikeliest Nebraska baseball history imaginable.

Brockett took the mound and never gave it back, authoring the program’s first individual nine-inning no-hitter in 70 years as the Huskers cruised past Kansas State 8-0 at a damp Haymarket Park. He struck out a career-high 12 and walked two on 107 pitches
