We're already in a tariff war with China.  It started roughly four decades ago and has been incredibly one-sided for almost the entirety of that span.  The US didn't really fight back until about 6 years ago.

I don't know that our actions made us "poorer."  Taking a look at inflation as one metric, after the implementation of tariffs, inflation wavered down a bit in 2018, up a bit in 2019, and down a bit in 2020.  It didn't make a noticeable increase until 2021, in the aftermath of the pandemic and all of the supply chain challenges it created.

But tariffs aren't the only problem with trade with China.  Almost all industry in China is either state-owned or state-controlled, and all of it is state-subsidized.  So, even if they placed zero tariff on, say, a laptop computer import manufactured by Dell or HP, they'll still subsidize state-controlled Lenovo to the point that it's the cheapest option for Chinese consumers, no matter WHAT the cost.
All this plus they force state-back JV's on US/EU corporations seeking to do business in China and with that force technology transfers and if they don't get what they want they'll just flat out steal IP/tech from US/EU corporations.

I seriously wonder if people in other countries really care what goes on in Israel, or Gaza, etc.

The more I think about it, I don’t really give a fuck. I think it would be a good idea to just let them sort out their own problems, stop giving aid to all of them.
Oh other countries absolutely do care, and they routinely try to do what little can be done about it at the UN and the US....obstructs and blocks.

I agree with this underlined part 100%. Israel would not be able to commit the crimes and atrocities it does without us. We should stay out. Unfortunately that will never happen.

I don't think you're being very objective.  You act like Gaza has no ports.  As if it doesn't receive tons of international aid.  And the good people there never see any of it.

Stop pretending that you have all the facts and no one else does.  Palestine receives tens of billions of dollars of foreign aid and yet it's people starve.  That's not Israel.  That's Hamas.  They force their own people to suffer from within.

You can pretend Israel is the problem here.  Be my guest.  But don't expect me to drink your slanted Kool-Aid.
I am objective as it gets. Gaza is completely controlled by Israel. It's an open air concentration camp prison. And in terms of international aid, what it receives are scraps and peanuts, and everyone and everything that goes in or out by land, sea, or air is controlled by: Israel.

Israel is 100000% the problem here. This did not start on October 7th. This is a story that is several decades old. There is no kool-aid or slant to drink. Just look at the facts. When you do, they speak for themselves.

Several decades? You need to go back hundreds of years- and don’t skip the holocaust.    Israel is NOT the problem

People who seem so certain about a complex situation are rarely right.

True.  But people who can’t be certain about ANY situation are never right. 😂
