When it was first built, people died if they crashed. 



It was a narrow two lane road with no shoulders. Canals were formed on each side, from excavation work to elevate the road.

Death trap.

Did you take 75 to get home? From Naples to Fort Myers can be rough.

Nah, I took Allegiant out of FLL.  FLL is tiny, way overcrowded, and not well run ... a terrible airport.

And whomever said Allegiant is pretty good.....lied.  It was direct from Memphis, and fairly cheap --- and that's where the good parts stop.

(I'll do it again for those reasons, however.)

Ya that'd take some getting use to fer shur. There's a similar stretch of road that bridge over Lake Pontchartrain in Louzeeanna
