was it the Huskies that knocked the Horns out of the playoffs a few seasons ago?

Yeah with then head coach Kalen DeBoer.  But that's not why I'm pulling against them.  I just view them as a wimpy PAC-NW Johnny-come-lately that doesn't deserve to be on the same field with the marquee programs.  Similar to why I always root against Oregon.

Actually, Washington has a pretty damn strong history if you look at it.

Meh.  Wimpy PAC-NW from a wimpy surf-boy conference.  Unimpressive.

Yeah, traditionally Washington is the #2 team in the Pac-10 (wins, winning percentage, and conference championships), close with #3 UCLA.

I suspect having to go on the road to Nebraska will be hard on the Huskies, so I think Nebraska takes this one. I doubt it will be easy.

Go to your pub, schooners are not only cheaper but more readily available on call

Washington is 4-3 and just wrapped up their bye week. Here are some notes from what head coach Jedd Fisch had to say at his Monday press conference regarding the bye week and their upcoming game against Nebraska this Saturday, Halloween night...

Said that he won't name a starter at QB until gametime and won't answer any questions about the quarterbacks.

Said he had a lot of respect for Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and said this will be a tough game on Saturday.

On Nebraska's third down defense, Fisch said that the Cornhuskers do a great job of winning on first and second down and forcing teams into 3rd-and-long situations. Added that he hadn't seen as many 3rd-and-6 or more on a video prep as he did when he was studying film on Nebraska.
Asked about the running backs room, Trey Cooley is back and practiced fully on Sunday and that they will get Jayden Limar back to practice and "see how that goes". Asked about Ansu Sanoe, he said he's still out with a foot issue.

On the defensive line room, Fisch said that they are expecting DeSean Watts and Kai McClendon back for this week's game and that Ramzak Fruean will be a gametime decision.

Was asked if he could play two quarterbacks and Fisch discussed his history with playing two quarterbacks including when he was at Florida and in his first year at Washington.
