the Canes are no Irish, they suck
NBC should sign the Canes to a deal, so every Saturday afternoon is Catholics, followed by Convicts.  I don't think gate monies even compare to TV deals.  If Miami got the same top-12 sweetheart playoff deal ND has, they'd be able to schedule decently tough opponents.

A LOT of people would tune in all afternoon to root against the Irish and Canes, back-to-back each week.  And they'd play each other every year, of course.

Actually this is not a bad idea.  I like it.

I wonder if Miami could get the same deal ND gets to put all its non-football sports in the ACC.  Probably not if Miami is breaking its contract with the ACC.  But maybe Miami could get the Big 12 to agree to that deal.

Miami has no leverage

I'm not sure how ND survives

Uhhhh, ND has their own seat at the table every time they all come together.  The conferences kneel, blow, and swallow at every turn for the Irish.  I'll never understand it, but it happens every time.

Miami has no leverage

I'm not sure how ND survives

They actually had ND in a tight spot, making it so they couldn't possibly get a top-4 seed and a bye.
Know how long it stayed that way?
1 year.
Now ND is automatically in, if they're top-12.

How do they survive?  By bending over the rest of college football like they always have.
