Rice isn't even good at baseball anymore.
They were really only good under one coach, and barely any of that was in the SWC

They made 23 straight NCAA tourneys (1995-2017), and never made one before or after that streak.  During that they won their conference (WAC/CUSA) in 18 of 19 years.  They've never won one before or after that streak.

I wonder if there is a guy like that in any other sport?  Take a garbage program, make them elite, and then have them return to garbage.  Kansas State football has had moments without Bill Snyder, but he might be the closest?

Sounds like it's a huge buzzkill for fakes and anything interesting on punts, though Florida would've probably been grateful for this during the Les era.

considering how LSU is doing this, I kind of hope they get two more years of eligibility for Shaq

Hmmm. I’d assume there aren’t that many people as successful as him overall, let alone at non-resourced programs.

I would imagine there’s someone at a lower level who’s done Something like that, and maybe some bad power program. But really most of your power programs have at least a few ups and downs.

Them trying to pull the former St. John’s kid is … curious and a bad sign.

Bro.
Even when every fan in the Swamp knows to always watch for a fake FG and play safe/off vs LSU, you guys still faked us out.  It was infuriating!

I thought it was the Tide fans that love themselves some good punts.

Pettit says when he was at MLB, he didn't have to convince anyone that expanding the playoff was good.....

So we're now comparing the sport with the most regular season games, each one meaning nearly nothing, with what was once THE more important, on-edge regular season of 11-12 games......

FFS

We're collectively getting dumber.  Screw that guy.  His job is to get everyone one extra dollar more than what a prudent idea would yield.

24 teams.  Jesus.

Instead of one person/group actually being in charge and steering the ship prudently with minor corrections, we've got several acting in their own best financial interests only, wildly yanking on the wheel, and then they're robbing cabin safes on the Titanic.

No one is at the helm.  They're going to hit multiple icebergs and they're each worried who the richest one on the sinking ship is.
It's embarrassing.
