Unpopular opinion, but fiscally responsible take:  running back and forth for an hour, putting a ball in a hoop is dumb.

I wonder what % of these costs is travel.....which makes adding west-coast schools especially dumb.  Plus, you know, the total abandonment of all geographical continuity in the sport as a whole.  Thanks for that.

Rowing won a national championship and helped tremendously in Texas winning the Director's Cup 3 of the last 4 years.  They can spend whatever they want.

Yeah, I expect a lot of it is travel.  Far-flung conferences, such a great idea.
