They probably do.  Alabama is poor.  This is no surprise to many of us who predicted it the moment buying players became legal.

Yeah, and between years 1 and 2 of Cignetti, Mark Cuban jumped on board to add financial support.

Commitments to upgrade the stadium experience, facilities, staff pay and player pay.

Hard to not win when the entire university is aligned top-down and the money is there.

Alignment is a major problem in Madison. The BoR could not care less about athletics, and the Chancellor came over from UCLA.

Need a Donna Shalala to hire a Pat Richter to hire a Barry Alvarez and a Stu Jackson/Dick Bennett/Bo Ryan.

That was alignment and that is what you need to be successful.

Absolutely true.  During UT's Charlie Strong and Tom Herman years, we had two interrim university presidents, one lame duck university system chancellor, and one interrim athletic director. The hiring cycle was all completely reversed with head coaches being hired before the athletic director, and athletic directors being hired before the university president, and university president being hired before the final university system chancellor.

After we finally got a new permanent chancellor he hired a new permanent university president who hired a new athletic director who hired Steve Sarkisian.

Now, Sarkisian may or may not be the correct answer, but at least there's finally alignment all the way up the chain, and each guy has "his guy" in place.

Despite Sarkisian's flaws as a head coach, the results have still been pretty positive compared to the 5-7 types of seasons under Strong and Herman.

Isn't Texas the only SEC team to win a bowl game against a P5 outside of the SEC?

Oh no , Alabama gets blasted by a team that’s never had much success at the college level, and the other team is paying their players fair and square?

I’m so sad !

This is pretty rich.
LMAO, ya the comment section wasn't buying it they were like "if you're looking for sympathy it's between shit and syphilis"
"Did you see the player's parking lot"

When tOSU played Bama in 2020 for the NC 4 OSU starters were pulled because they tested positive for covid, and I forget how many back ups. Yet Bama registered ZERO-ZILCH-NADA-NONE of their players/staff had it. MM I call bullshit

Damn that's a tall order, i really thought  Herman would work out. I give SARK credit for not falling off the wagon - kudos for that
