every SEC team plays FCS teams this year.
Because of our otherwise brutal OOC schedule.

j/k

But this post is the rub, isn't it?  B1G people want to pretend there's a difference between an unlosable game vs Kent St and Mercer.
Why??

A decent P2 or P4 team's likelihood of winning vs a sub-80th ranked team or worse is asymptotic, yes?
Florida has a 99.3% chance of beating a UAB and a 99.5% chance of beating a Mercer.
.
Why pretend they're different?  They're statistically not.
Drawing that line between them is silly.  It's embarrassing.

For anyone interested, a rather dull video going over the history of bigger conferences rejecting Memphis is linked here.

In short, among four schools individually selected to the Big 12 – BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF – at the time of their selection Memphis lagged behind all four in Athletics Budget, Media Market Size, Overall Win Percentage (football), and student enrollment. And the Memphis football program is historically lackluster.

Well, the Big 12 isn't exactly Ivy League. Only 3 schools are AAU members, and they all came from the PAC.

For many schools that is the case.

The starting QB in Madison is doing an MBA. The starting RB is in the School of Business. The top receiver is studying on a path to Medicine. Top OL is majoring in Finance, Investment and Banking.

There are plenty of Communications Arts or other easy majors, for sure, but not all of UW's top players are being hidden as you imply.

There is no General Studies major at Wisconsin.
