They should just sit there, irrelevant, instead?  How can any proactive attempt at climbing the ladder be embarrassing?

I live here.  Big 12 begging, or not, they’re still irrelevant.  We don’t call them Tiger High for nothing. 

(And they still got denied after the 200 million offer, and foregoing any league revenue for 5 years).

man imagine paying your former head coach $80 million just to go away and paying your players $51 million a year just to go 7-6 or 8-5 every year. sheesh. A&M rolling in the dough but not the W's.

Sadly, you should always expect A&M to do less with more.  They called me up several times asking for money, I told them they didn't need it, they'll just waste it with the rest.  I swear we could cap the coaches salary at $5MM, players at $10MM and we'd be in the same shape.
