the ACC is doomed regardless, FSU knows it and wants out
it's only a matter of time
Yeah that's basically it.

The B12 was a shotgun wedding that didn't have the television demographics to compete with the B1G and later the SEC, and the ACC is in the same boat.

The PAC was even weaker than both when it came to television ratings and draw and, well, we see what happened there.

FSU must be scared of other teams picking over their ultra-talented dumpster fire roster.
I've no doubt the roster has talent
the coaching staff is lacking in talent
Mike Norvell had them 15-0 in 2023 as Jordan Travis went down near the end of the season. How many squads have done that recently, specially at UNL

Nebraska was the first major school to leave the B12.  And Nebraska voted for unequal revenue sharing in its own favor, every single time the vote came up.
Feeling guilty about something Junior?

Lulzno.

Just clarifying facts for all of the ignorant masses that have no idea what they're talking about.

If concern over some schools getting more money than others was a driving force in those schools leaving the B12, then why is it that the schools that were getting more money, were the first ones to leave?

Critical thinking is an important skill.

Which is why I asked UTA and UNL guys.

Technically Colorado left before Nebraska did.

Speaking of the "death of CFB", for me that happens when I cease watching.  Anything outside of that is irrelevant to me personally.

I still watch MLB and CFB, and almost nothing else.  Oddly those are two sports where "my teams" usually do well, go figure.

Nebraska was pretty quick, I remember when the Big Ten initially announced their plans for expansion it was underwhelming additions like Mizzou that were getting batted around. Then like a week later the Columbus radio guys had Tom Osborne on, and he was lobbying hard for Nebraska, which was just an unrealistic pipe dream that was quickly dismissed up until that point. Then Pete Fiutek came on next, and they told him what Osborne said after hearing his own inane speculation, and it was the first time he'd ever heard of it. Then it just snowballed from there.

Actually they both left the B12 and announced their new conferences on the same day-- June 11, 2010.

Obviously neither made the shift in sports until the following year.

Yeah sorry, I wasn't responding to you.  Was just trying to answer your question clearly.

Yeah, but Colorado announced it first.

By what... minutes?  If you say so.

Regardless, the point remains that Nebraska and Colorado were both receiving more money than other schools in the conference, and yet they were the first to leave.  So the unequal revenue sharing is not what drove those first defectors.

Texas A&M was also receiving more money than other schools, so that wasn't a driver for them, either.

I have no idea whether or not Missouri was receiving extra.  Probably not.  But honestly, I often forgot that Missouri was even in the conference.
