If we have 2,700 of them in the world, they are a rare breed (duh). If only 13% inherited it, that is somewhat encouraging if the rest made it, even if they started with a nice pile. I think one needs to start a company that goes public and then is very successful to get there, in general, you won't get there on salary. Even a CEO with $50 million a year compensation won't get there unless the company gets bought at a large premium or something weird happens.
