Billionaires aren't evil, it's just that their priority is money. None of you seemed to agree with me a couple of months back, but it's true. No one oopses into becoming a billionaire.
They have many big decisions along the way, and at each fork in the road, they chose more wealth.
.
This isn't radical. It's obvious.
But go ahead and tell me I'm wrong.
In my opinion, the goal isn't money... Money is the scorecard by which they measure achieving their goal.
Note that in this statement, I'm referring to your typical entrepreneur billionaire, your typical Bill Gates / Jeff Bezos / Steve Job / Elon Musk sort of guy. Also including guys like the former POTUS. There are billionaires who inherited a fortune and are using it to build a bigger fortune. That's a little different IMHO, because those people aren't really driven by achievements. And then there are folks like Cincy's friend, or people like Bezos' ex or Melinda Gates, who aren't "billionaires" in the sense that they earned it. Another special case...
In a lot of ways, being an entrepreneur billionaire is like being an NFL QB. Those NFL QBs are NOT driven by their priority being money--they're driven by winning, but it seems that ever time one of the better ones is up for contract renegotiation, they want to be the highest-paid QB in the NFL. Is it because they need or even care about the money? No, it's because they think they're the best, and the best should be the highest paid, right?
Most entrepreneur billionaires are, IMHO, egomaniacs who are driven by competition and winning more than they are driven by money. But if you can be a winner AND a billionaire, it's a lot better than being a winner and a millionaire, right?
