Obviously I think Frazier was more deserving than Eddie, it was by no means egregious.
I think the '92 Heisman to Toretta was the only rotten selection. Definitely a 'QB on the #1 Team' winner. I was a big Marshall Faulk honk, his problem was being a Sophomore (this was still the 'can't have a Fr/So. win the heisman era) and he played on the west coast, late, and in a league that nobody saw, on a .500 team. The Canes and Aztecs actually played in the final game of the season @SDSU, and.....Faulk didn't play (sprained knee or ankle IIRC). The game was an absolute beatdown, 63-14 or something. Faulk still led the NCAA in rushing (again). Toretta's season numbers were meh. I don't think he threw for 20 TDs on the season. Of course, I hated the Canes, so there's some bias talking.
Hearst was a very respectable 3rd. T. Davis was also on that roster. That was a pretty good UGA team, during the era where they could not figure out how to beat Spurrier. Zeier was QB, ok, Andre Hastings was a pretty good WR. Good defense. They beat the Buckeyes in one of those Fla bowls.
