Ibiza, view from our balcony.  We walked to that fortress to the left, long walk.

Off the boat, line to get through customs at Barcelona.  This was weird because we had never shown a passport before at any port or went through any customs.  The line moved pretty quickly and we were diverted to the "EU ONLY!!! line" for some reason which was short.

They put all the luggage the night before in that area to be collected by color code, it works pretty well.

Barcelona, we took a tour off the ship and they dropped us near our hotel later.  You can see the Sagrada Familia center, and then a close shot.

had a nice lobster roll At Bunker's Seafood and Spirits in BIRCH HARBOR, ME - https://bunkersseafood.com/
the owner was bartending, I sat at the bar (daughter missed her flight)
Their last day of the season is Saturday
Glad I got to visit, I'd go back - the locals agree, place was packed

Staying 2 nights, last night and tomorrow, at a B&D on Prospect Harbor (Lobesterboat working harbor) very nice
Breakfast in a couple hours

Much prefer flying to Europe and coming back on a ship. You don't miss a beat when coming home that way.

These cities all kind of run together after a while, for me.

We were struggling to keep up with the time zone changes midocean because our watches wouldn't change automatically.  Then we'd get near a port and they'd correct, I guess they need 5G or something to tell time.  My iPad was off the entire trip even though I used it fairly often for logging on.  I thought it would be "easier" than flying by my internal clock was off the whole time.

I'm still a bit curious how we could exit the ship into Spain/Portugal with no passport or customs check until we exited the ship for good.

Our next cruise is in September 2027 starting in Iceland.  It's a double, two cruises back to back.

We are flying to Madrid soon and then taking the train to Malaga. We board there and come home. This line has clocks all over the ship. I don't wear a watch (never have/will) or carry my phone when I'm not working.
