Places I have visited where I have no desire to return, ever:
New Orleans - As noted before, I may have missed something, but my wife feels the same way. It was dirty and uninteresting, to me, the FQ. We had one decent meal at lunch when we were away from our French friend, but it wasn't anything notable.
Mrytle Beach - I don't play golf any more. The beach part is decent, the "tourists" are, well, anyway, it's the Redneck Riviera. Not my cup of tea.
Pigeon Forge - Even worse, IMHO, massive traffic, touristy gimmicks, I guess it would appeal some to smaller kids. My wife loathes the place. I recall what it was like in the early 60s, not much there except corn.
Sedona, AZ - The town itself is a collection of T shirt and magic rock stores and over priced food. The terrain around it is a "see once" kind of thing, to me. We dined twice at a nice Italian restaurant Badge suggested. We drove around a good bit, which was OK, saw Meteor Crater.
Cherokee, NC - The place makes me sad, but the only way to get into the main part of the Smoky Mountains. You can bypass it on the Parkway a bit.
Napa Valley - Seems a bit odd for a wine drinker, but been there, seen that, it's now over priced overly touristy wine busses galore and not fun, to me. Sonoma seems headed in the same direction.
Temecula, CA - I'll throw this in, a Napa wannabe that isn't, really not that interesting, to me.
