We had one year, two years back I think, where it was a bust, had to "play" several games indoors, which was not much fun.  Part of it is that the field crew is very protective, overly so I thought.  We played some games outside but with only outfielders in turf shoes.  No one was allowed on the infield dirt even with turf shoes.

The umpires called "hits" or "outs" on ground balls.  It was better than Cage games indoors.

Wife has gone crazy.  Just booked 22 days circumnavigating the British Isle then Norway and Iceland for August.  And 60 days starting in April going back and forth across the Atlantic in a ship with hitting a bunch of places in the Mediterranean in between.  Still have our 3 month road trip across the US before all that. She gets bored just staying at home.

My brother (a pilot) refers to passengers as "self-loading cargo".

Actually contemplating that very idea.  Getting a place in a park to hang our hats.  Maybe a place on the east coast to be near the ocean

Hobbies are cheaper.

Yeah, my wife is at the gym every day, golfs a lot, and plays pickleball. I don't complain at all.

Atlanta lands two districts on Top 10 'Best Places to Live in America' list | Urbanize Atlanta
Atlanta lands two districts on Top 10 'Best Places to Live in America' list | Urbanize Atlanta

Kinda funny, to me, the top place is Atlantic Station which is walking distance from us here, but the area has some significant issues, in my view.  The local Publix recently closed for whatever reason and they have had some security problems with teen takeover stuff.  Whatever, another irrelevant ranking really.  Where we live came in at 6.  I'm pretty sure all this hinges on individual preferences and desires of course.

This doesn't reflect its being a neat place to visit, there are some things to see and do, but I'd put other places higher on that kind of list.
