Which Ferry? There are two. SS Badger and the Lake Express.
Didn't you say it was deadly to try to cross the lake in many instances?

Yes. When the high winds are out of the North or Northeast, it can be very deadly. The largest I've heard of were 25' waves. The most I experienced were 10'. That was enough.

There are more non-wartime shipwrecks in Lake Michigan than any other water body in the world.

I didn't take the clubs.
Have a full day planned for tomorrow.
Need to get out of Twin Peaks in Wichita soon, but bill self got ejected and the Jayhawks are dragging out the game.
Hopefully the huskers game starts on time regardless of FS1
Must be nice to have an interest in college hoops.  Since my school hired a bunch of 1 and done NIL guys who clearly exhibited that they were in town solely for the paycheck, got the coach fired, and...well, nevermind.  But I tuned into Arizona/Iowa State for a little bit Monday...#2 v. #6, and I got bored and hit the clicker.

Probably a good call on the sticks.  It's a gray ugly day, fit for being inside for a beverage.

Look at NW Indiana and the Central time zone. NW Indiana revolves around Chicago.

Another oddity with the time zones, they make it look like all of Nevada is pacific, but when you do a deep dive, both Wendover and Jackpot are in the mountain time zone.

As one who is largely ignorant of the history and uses and/or necessity of DST, mark me down for permanent DST.  Sun is in my eyes on my commute in the winter both coming and going.  It's annoying as hell and frankly unsafe.  I'll be mega-happy this weekend when we spring forward out of this cornea-wrecking bullcrap.  If we went to PST, I'd seriously consider quitting this job and trying to find something in the other direction.

I like Daylight savings time, and don't understand the objection to it. People don't look at the pros and cons, they just freak out about having to change their clock.

When we switch this weekend, sunrise will be at almost 8AM. That just plain sucks.

Don't know who in CA is in favor of permanent standard time.

I'd prefer permanent DST. I'd rather the sun stay up "later" in the afternoon in the winter than come up "earlier" in the morning.

Yup same here. My dad has always referred to standard time as "Daylight Wastings Time."

Perhaps by the strict definition and time-stamp of "sunrise," but it will be light out significantly earlier than that, at least here, anyway.  And it will make my drive to work SO much better.  And the drive home.  I hate the winter schedule with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.....all of which feel like are directly in my eyes while commuting right now.

While I prefer DST, I don't necessarily object to standard time for a couple of months out of the year. I mean that is what time it actually is, after all.

It's never a good idea to get a place to live that's directly West of where you work, for that reason.
